The Nyingarn Workspace is where the work gets done. With appropriate permissions, manuscript images are transcribed, which makes them searchable and usable. Once the work has been done, manuscripts can move to the Nyingarn Repository. Over time, the Nyingarn Repository will be the place to search for early Australian Indigenous language records.
Any data you upload into the workspace will only be visible to you. It will not be accessible on the internet and it will not be accessible to other users of the workspace other than the administrators. The workspace is an active space and is NOT a repository, so we will delete any items that have not been opened for six months. You should use the workspace to create text from your manuscript images, download that text, and then delete the item from the workspace. If you want the item to be made public and you have the relevant permissions, then please move it to the repository.
Registered users can access the workspace via the link. To become a registered user please email nyingarn-project@unimelb.edu.au. Your email address will become your login.
